The process of creating a beautiful image does not end after pressing the shutter button. There’s some work behind the scenes that help make the final results of an image PERFECT—and it’s photo editing! While all images are already beautiful the way they are, some small tweaks and corrections will give you the “wow” results we all love! In today’s blog, we’ll be going over the importance of (natural) photo editing and how it makes a difference.
Attention to Detail
One of the major perks you’ll enjoy from the Mike & Jenn experience is our attention to detail. After we finish with your wonderful photoshoot, we’ll get working on your photo edits asap. What we would say differentiates us from other photographers is our sharp attention to detail. While editing your photos, we’re looking at what elements we can fix to ensure that the final results are perfect! Take a look at the examples below:
As you can see in the photo below, the wind was blowing hard and puffing up her sweater. She said she felt like the Michelin man LOL. But we made edits and fixed up her puffy sweater!

As you can see in these photos below, we fixed up their blowing hair and pulled down the shirt of the first gorgeous young lady. While these edits are nothing drastic, these final touches make a BIG difference in the overall look of the image.

Natural Looking Editing
Something we emphasize in our editing is making it look NATURAL! We aren’t trying to make you look 30 years younger! LOL. We are natural photographers, and our editing is very natural-looking! We want you to still look like you! No need to change your perfect self! The main editing you’ll be seeing is fixing hair & clothing!
As you can see in the photo below, the wind was not in favor of her sweater. So we fixed it up with some minor photo editing:

The Importance of Photo Editing
When it comes to photo editing, we believe it’s really important to preserve the natural integrity of the photo! We want you to look at your photos and admire the true you! If you can’t recognize yourself, the editing is too excessive. Natural-looking photos are our goal! In a way, photo editing is another way to tell your story. What we capture on camera raw sometimes does not accurately reflect the moment. Some small tweaks and edits can make a huge difference.
