- Colors – Mid-tone plain colors (not too dark or too light) are universally flattering. They work well for both color and black-and-white photo shoots. It would be great to incorporate a color that you like to reflect a bit of your personality!
- Patterns – Sometimes, you want to be a little careful around patterns that are too busy. Certain patterns cause the moire effect, which causes thin stripes to close together and create a rippling pattern. Besides, we want YOU to be the center of attention, not your shirt!
- Layering – We want to remind you not to be afraid to experiment with textures and layers—especially the ladies who usually have more options when it comes to formal wear. Bandanas or pashminas can really help add some variation to your photos!

Yes, staying hydrated and getting plenty of sleep the night before is important! Also, you want to be sure you’ve gotten a good night’s sleep! The last thing you want is to come to the photoshoot with black eye bags!
